Finishing your DIY PVCu conservatory

Do

• consider fitting an electric extractor fan if your new conservatory goes over your Kitchen. This way you reduce the risk of producing condensation in the conservatory as a knock-on effect of creating a lot of moisture from cooking and laundry, etc.

Don’t

• lay the flooring too soon. To test if a base has dried out properly is to lay a sheet of newspaper on the bare floor under a rug overnight. If there is any sort of dampness on the paper, or under the rug, then the base has NOT dried out sufficiently for the flooring to be laid. By all means ventilate well, but resist the temptation to artificially increase the curing and drying out time of the concrete with the use of heaters.
