Planning and Building your DIY PVCu Conservatory

There are a few things you should consider before rushing headlong into getting your new conservatory. This section covers some of it, you’ll probably think about some other things too. Use this as a starting point.

Decide if a conservatory is right for you
Look at different options, don’t just pick the first one you look at. Ask yourself: How will you use it? How much time will you spend in it?

Plan your conservatory budget
How much are you willing to spend on your new conservatory? If you going to be spending the majority of your relaxation time in the conservatory it may be worth budgeting a bit extra money. If your conservatory is mainly for use as a greenhouse, then reconsider how much you want to spend.

Look around at different conservatories
Spend time researching different designs and visiting conservatory displays. Look at the different types of conservatories and how they will best suit you. Decide what features you like and don’t like, or need and don’t need.

Conservatory suppliers and designers
Will you have an approved designer draw up plans for your new bespoke conservatory or will you purchase a standard design from a conservatory supplier?

Building your conservatory
Be prepared, great planning means a great end result.

Final touches to your conservatory
Choose the features for your conservatory. Decide on fittings and furnishings which will suit your conservatory and lifestyle. Add a few plants and personalize your space. Then relax and enjoy.
